Questions

Lawn Care Questions

How much does lawn care cost in Spokane?

It depends on the size of your lawn, the services you choose and how often you need them, so Automated Lawn & Pest Control quotes every property individually, and estimates are free. You can book a one-time service, bundle several services together or set up a seasonal contract. For a real number, request a free quote or call (509) 818-1831.

What lawn care does a Spokane lawn need each season?

In spring, power rake if thatch has built up and core aerate early, especially after a heavy-snow winter leaves the soil compacted. Through the growing season, mow weekly and keep up with fertilization and weed control. Early fall is the second window for power raking and aeration, and fall aeration is especially good for cool-season grass. Before the first hard freeze, blow out your sprinklers.

Should I aerate or power rake my lawn?

It depends on the problem. A spongy lawn with a brown, matted layer under the green has too much thatch, and power raking removes it. Hard ground where water pools or runs off is compacted, and core aeration opens it up. Many lawns benefit from both, and both fit the same windows: spring and early fall.

Should I repair my lawn or replace it?

If there's still grass worth saving, repair it. Lawn renovation combines core aeration, top dressing and overseeding to improve the soil and fill thin, bare areas without tearing the lawn out. Severe damage or major grading and drainage problems may call for a different approach, and we'll recommend the right one for your property.

Do you care for rental and commercial property lawns?

Yes. Automated Lawn & Pest Control provides lawn care for homes, rental properties and commercial sites. For one rental, we paired a budget curb-appeal makeover with weekly mowing, edging and blowing plus fertilizer and weed control, and the unit filled faster than expected (see the case study).
